    Abstract:

Two-dimensional molecular dynamics simulations are employed to gain insight on the effect of the different heating mechanism in determining the extent of nonequipartition of kinetic energy in granular gases with a Power-law particle size distribution. It is found that the bulk value of the temperature ratio depends on the choice of different boundary heating.
