On the fourth power mean of the generalized three-term exponential sums

Abstract:

This paper aims at calculation of the fourth power mean of a certain generalized three-term exponential sums modulo p, an odd prime.By using some properties of the classical Gauss sums and character sums, we give some exact calculating formulae and asymptotic formulae for it.
