Abstract:In this paper, by applying the fixed point theorem in cone, we study the existence of positive solutions of third-order four-point boundary value problemu'''(t)+f(t,u(t))=0,t∈[0,1],u'(0)=αu(ξ ),u'(1)+βu(η)=0,u''(0)=0,whereα,βare positive parameters,0≤ξ<η≤1.Under some conditions on f,we obtained the existence of positive solutions of the problem (1.1)by estimating the upper bounds and lower bounds for kernel function.

Abstract:In this paper, stochastic resonance of an underdamped harmonic oscillator with random mass and driven by periodic modulated noise is investigated. The fluctuation of oscillator mass is modeled by a dichotomous noise while the internal noise is assumed to be Gaussian. Using the Shapiro-Loginov formula and the Laplace transform technique, exact expressions of first moment of the steady-state response and output of the system are presented. Then some simulations are implemented to study the dependence of long-time behavior of the first moment on variety of the system parameters. It is shown that the output amplitude non-monotonically depends on the signal frequency, the noise parameters and the system parameters, which indicates the occurrences of bona fide stochastic resonance, generalized stochastic resonance and parameter-induced stochastic resonance. Furthermore, based on the exact expressions it is demonstrated that interplay of the mass fluctuation and the periodic modulated noise can generate some novel cooperation effects, such as double-peak resonance as well as one-valley resonance.

Abstract:In this paper, we discuss the global behavior of a rational difference equation\,$x_{n+1}=-\frac{x_n x_{n-1}}{ ax_n+bx_{n-2}}$\,. It shows that for all initial values outside the forbidden set, its convergence solution is either a 4 periodic solution, or converges to a 4 periodic solution or a fixed value; the non-convergence solution is unbounded under some conditions.

Abstract:In this paper, by using the continuation theorem of coincidence degree theory and some analysis methods, we study the existence and uniqueness of periodic solutions for prescribed mean curvature Rayleigh $p-$Laplacian equation \begin{displaymath} \left(\varphi_{p}\left(\frac{x'(t)}{\sqrt{1+(x'(t))^{2}}}\right)\right)'+f(x'(t))+g(x(t-\tau (t)))=e(t). \end{displaymath} Some new results are obtained. Furthermore, a numerical example demonstrates the validity of the main results.

Abstract:In this paper, following the dual rules for an equilibrium problem, we introduce the corresponding parametric dual vector mixed quasi-equilibrium problem, which is Mix Minty-type parametric dual vector quasi-equilibrium problem. We discuss the H\"{o}lder continuity of the solutions of parametric primal vector mixed quasi-equilibrium problem (PVMQEPi)(i=1,2) and parametric dual vector mixed quasi-equilibrium problem(DVMQEPi)(i=1,2) in general settings and also provide suitable remarks and examples to illustrate our results on by one. Finally, we apply Mixed Minty-type dual vector mixed quasi-equilibrium problems to deal with Mix Minty variational inequality as an application. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results announced by many others.

Abstract:Topic detection in social media is a hot yet challenging issue in social computing given most data there are heterogeneous, time-evolving and linguistically ambiguous. In this paper, we explore the idea of achieving this goal through complex network modeling which has demonstrated excellent interpretability of the real world. Specifically, a complex network was constructed based on pre-processed topic words where two parameters, namely the emergency and correlation coefficients, were also introduced to allow us to filter social data through the network as well as determine their possible correlations. This approach was then applied to analyze 600,000 messages by teenager users in Weibo.com to identify overlapping communities with the help of the well-established algorithm EAGLE. It was demonstrated that, compared to other popular approaches such as CONGO and Peacock a much better Q-value results has been obtained by the method proposed here.

Abstract:Real-time rendering and lighting of forests is a difficult problem in visual system. Due to uncorrelated of scene complexity, the Image-based rendering techniques have been widely used for the scene reconstruction. An iterative-casting algorithm based on Light Field Rendering (IBR) is put forward to solve the reconstruction pro- blem, and then realizes a real-time forests rendering with lighting effects. The experimental results show that this algorithm has combined the advantages of iterative and casting algorithms, gets a balance between efficiency and quality.

Abstract:Panoramic stitching is a technology to achieve all-round look of the scene by stitching image sequence. It is a research hotspot of Computer Vision and Image Processing. For large-scale and high-resolution image sequence stitching, stitching efficiency of single computer is hard to meet the needs of the practical application. A new solution for panorama parallel stitching based on a multi-machine parallel architecture with high-speed network InfiniBand was proposed. At first, do the parallelism analysis for the key steps of panoramic stitching and divide into fine-grained and high degree of parallelism subtasks; Secondly assign and execute the tasks through the control node and the compute nodes in the parallel architecture; Finally, in order to solve the problem that the rate of the data transmission between the computer nodes using the traditional TCP/IP network is low with the amount of image data increasing, we designed a high-speed network transmission module based on InfiniBand and TCP/IP which can effectively improve the transmission rate. The experimental results proved that the distributed computing on this parallel architecture can effectively improve the panorama stitching efficiency with a significant practical value.

Abstract:Color is an important aspect of visual perception. It not only has aesthetic value but also can convey personality-relevant information. However, a clear and quantitative understanding of how color evokes personality associations is still lacking. In this reseach, semantic differential scales were first adopted to capture color personality association. Then, multiple regression were used to quantify the relationships between three color attributes (CIELAB lightness, chroma, and hue) and the color personality association. The results show that for most personality, both the CIELAB chroma and lightness attributes are the main influencing factors, whereas CIELAB hue has no or less effect; besides, the relationships between the color attributes and color personality associations can be well quantified using the multiple regression models. These results provide guidelines to design the color personality of visual characters.

Abstract:Heating uniformity is extremely important but difficult to achieve, and it is highly dependent on the characteristics of electric field. Hence, it is significant to study the condition of dramatic changes of electric field in multimode cavity. In this paper, firstly, Helmholtz equation and dyadic Green's function are used to derive the integral equation. Then, by discussing the characteristics of the derived equation, we obtain the main factors and characteristics of its stability. Finally, by finite element method, we verify the correctness of the conclusion, and present the smallest change of relative parameters that results in dramatic changes of electric field.

Abstract:In view of the defects of the NAND Flash wear leveling caused by the block selection policy in Yaffs2 file system, the heat calculation method of file update and block recycling was introduced. The data with different heat was separated into the corresponding physical blocks, thus the free block selection policy could be improved. And the degree of dispersion and wear leveling was adopted to improve the wear leveling by choosing the most effective garbage collection strategy in different situations. The QEMU and embedded Linux was used as the simulation platform. The performance metrics used was the number of copy operations, the number of erase operations, the maximum erase count for all blocks, the maximum erase count for all blocks, the maximum difference in the erase counts, and the standard deviation of the erase counts. The simulation results show that the improved method can greatly improve the efficiency of garbage collection, and can effectively improve the degree of wear leveling and prolong the service life of NAND Flash equipments.

Abstract:Due to mathematical complexity to process acoustic wave propagation in the atmospheric, the work of the analytic solutions for coupled equations set was very rare. Normal mode analysis and the homotopy analysis method were firstly combined to solve analytic solutions of the coupled equations set in a viscous, windy atmosphere. Firstly, the coupled equations set were deduced from the government equations, the attenuation characteristics and phase velocity were analyzed by the coupled equations set in the uniform and no wind atmosphere, and the analytical solutions of the equations set were solved by normal mode analysis, meanwhile the analytical solutions were used to initial approximations, the 3rd-order approximation analytical solutions of the coupled equations set in a windy and viscous atmosphere were obtained by homotopy analysis method. The numerical simulation indicates that due to the influence of the variety of atmospheric elements, the sound pressure peak value is smaller and bigger frequencies have faster attenuation with the increase of propagation distance, so the wind and viscous properties are the important factors that affect near surface acoustic wave propagation characteristics.

Abstract:The structural, elastic, electronic and thermodynamic properties of PtN2 have been studied in fluorite (C1), pyrite (C2), marcasite (C18), CoSb2, simple hexagonal (denoted SH hereafter), simple tetragonal (denoted ST hereafter) and Layer structure (hereafter denoted as LS) phase by performing ab initio calculations within the generalized gradient approximation (GGA). The equilibrium lattice parameters, bulk modulus and its pressure derivative are in agreement with the available theoretical results and experimental data. The most stable structure is C2 phase through calculating the enthalpy, while the others are metastable. It is noted that no phase transition occurs between difference phases in the pressure range studied here. The density of states indicates that C2-PtN2 is semiconductor with a band gap of 1.5 eV. The Young's modulus, Poisson's ratio and anisotropy factor have been predicted. We note that the elastic constant, bulk modulus, shear modulus, compressional and shear wave velocity increase monotonically with increasing pressure. The Debye temperature, thermal expansion and heat capacity increase with pressure.

Abstract:Density functional theory has been applied to investigate the structures and properties of asymmetric clusters (HFBN3)n (n=1-6). When n≥2, B–Nα bonds form easily, and B–B and Nα–Nα bonds are not found in the clusters. The geometric parameters of clusters along with cluster size n are discussed. The relative stabilities of asymmetric clusters (HFBN3)n (n=1-6) are analyzed based on the averaged binding energy and second-order difference of energy. It is found that (HFBN3)3 clusters are more stable than other clusters. The calculated IR spectra have four main characteristic regions. Trends in thermodynamic properties with temperature T and cluster size n are discussed, respectively. Monomer 1 forms clusters (2, 3, 4, 5 and 6) thermodynamically favorable by the enthalpies at 298.2 K.

Abstract:The electronic and magnetic properties of ZnS nanowires (NWs) doped with C atom are studied in terms of the first-principle calculation. The result shows that C atom preferring to the surface position. All of the doped NWs show semiconductor character. The magnetic moments are mainly contributed by the C-2p orbital. Due to the hybridization interaction,a small magnetic moment is also induced in nearest neighboring Zn and S atoms. The magnetic moments of the C, Zn, and S atoms in the super cell have the same direction, indicating ferromagnetic coupling between them. The large energy difference (121 meV) between the ferromagnetic and antierromagnetic state implies room-temperature ferromagnetism for C-doped ZnS NWs, which has great potential in spintronic devices.

Abstract:In this work, the melting properties of Mo under high temperature and high pressure are studied by using the molecular dynamics simulations with embedded atom potential. We analyze the melting curves of Mo in detail and give the temperature-pressure equation. The isothermal compression curve and isobaric curve are computed at the same time. We obtain that the equilibrium temperature at atmospheric pressure is 2695K, which is in good agreement with experimental data. We also studied the structure change of Mo in the melting process through the radial distribution function and the HA index.

Abstract:By using plane wave pseudopotential method based on the first principles, the optoelectronic properties of β-FeSi2 doped with Er are calculated and analyzed. The calculation results show that: after Er doped, the cell volume increases, and Er tends to replace the FeII atom. The analysis of band structure after incorporation of Er near the Fermi level becomes smoothly, and the Fermi level moves down into the valence band, the band gap narrows significantly. The static dielectric constant improves significantly, but the peak of absorption coefficient decreases significantly. These results indicate that the optoelectronic properties of β-FeSi2 change with Er doped.

Abstract:In this paper, Er2O3 films are prepared in mixing atmosphere by radio frequency magnetron sputtering method. The phase structures, surface and cross-section morphologies of Er2O3films are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM), respectively. The results show that the phase structure of the pure Er2O3 film is still stable under the annealed temperature of 500℃. However, with the annealing temperature increasing, the monoclinic phase of the Er2O3 film can transform into cubic phase at 700℃. In addition, for the Er2O3 film with He containing, the degree of crystallinity may be affected by He atoms. He bubbles can not be formed with small amount of He doped in, and the diffraction peak of the Er2O3 film decreased obviously comparing with that of the pure Er2O3 film. As the content of the doped He atoms increase, the monoclinic phase of the Er2O3 film becomes more stable under the high internal pressure due to the forming of He bubbles.

Abstract:Abstract: In this paper, the 100 keV helium ions were implanted in tungsten. The behaviour of helium and the evolution of the related defect have also been studied as a function of helium fluence by slow positron beam analysis (SPBA). The experimental results indicated that helium ions irradiation under different helium fluence introduced the same vacancy-type defects on the basis of the phenomenon that the S-W date present the same linear distribution. Moreover, with the increment of helium fluence, the concentration of vacancy-type defects in the samples increased correspondingly. It was also found that the S parameter of the sample annealed had a significant change by comparing with other samples without annealing. The result suggested that vacancy-type defects were more likely to be affected by thermal treatment than other influencing factors such as fluence.

Abstract:The heat shock response (HSR) in E. coli acts as the cellular response to temperature increase stress. When E. coli is stressed with high temperatures, a series of proteins are synthesized, these proteins are regulated by σ32. The DnaK/J/E chaperone machine of E. coli is essential for the HSR, and involved in protein folding and disaggregation, protelysis and transmembrane transport. In this paper, the AT2G02960 (ATPRF1) protein is a RING-finger E3 ubiquitin ligase in Arabidopsis thaliana. According to the analysis of the growth curve of E. coli, ATPRF1 increased thermotolerance of E. coli. Western Blotting analysis indicated that ATPRF1 could raise the posttranslational levels of heat shock factor σ32 and heat shock protein DnaK, stabilize heat shock factor σ32 simultaneously. Co-immunoprecipitation and bacteria two-hybrid system experiments demonstrated that ATPRF1 interacted with both σ32 and DnaK. σ32 could be ubiquitinated by ATPRF1 in vitro. Hence, our results confirmed that ATPRF1 interacted with DnaK/J/E chaperone and enhanced the thermotolerance of E. coli and ubiquitinated σ32.

Abstract:Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) receptor is mainly expressed in gonadal tissues and plays significant roles in mediating the actions of FSH in gonadal development and functions in vertebrates. In this study, a novel splice variant of FSHR (cFSHR-v) was identified from chicken ovary by RT-PCR. cFSHR-v is predicted to encode a putative protein of 700 amino acids with an alternated extracellular domain. Comparison of this splice variant with chicken genome database revealed that it is resulted from partial sequence (21bp) retention of intron 7. RT-PCR assay showed that cFSHR-v could be detected in ovary and testis. Using a pGL3-CRE-Luciferase reporting system, we demonstrated that only cFSHR, but not cFSHR-v, expressed in cultured CHO cells could be activated by human FSH in a dose-dependent manner, indicating that cFSHR-v may be incapable of transmitting signal. Our data revealed that FSHR variant is expressed in chicken gonads, however, its physiological remains to be elucidated.

Abstract:A CBF3 gene was isolated from Jatropha curcas named JcCBF3. The full length of open reading frame(ORF)was 678 bp, encoding 225 amino acids. The amino acids sequence of JcCBF3 owned the characteristics of CBF protein. The amino acids sequences also had highly homologous with CBF genes of other plants, reached 79% with Manihot esculenta, and 74% with Hevea brasiliensis respectively. RT-qPCR result revealed that JcCBF3 was induced by low temperature . After 12 hours , the transcriptional level of JcCBF3 raised maximum 62 folds than the control, suggesting its drastic response to cold stress in Jatropha curcas. JcCBF3 was constructed into plant expression vector pBI121 and obtained the transgenic tobacco plants. At the low temperature treatment, free proline and superoxide dismutase in transgenic tobacco and the control were all increased, and that of transgenic tobacco were higher than that of normal tobacco plant. Overexpression of JcCBF3 in transgenic tobacco plants enhanced the expression of downstream genes containing CRT/ DRE elements. This study not only proves the cold resistance roles of JcCBF3, but also presents a candidate gene engineering for improvement of cold resistance in Jatropha curcas.

Abstract:In the present study, the effect of collagen hydrolysate (CH) on the growth of Bacillus subtilis was investigated for its valuable utilization in the fermentation industry. The influences of CH and other nitrogen sources, the proportion of CH and corn steep liquor, and the different carbon source at the present of CH on the growth of B. subtilis were significantly explored. Further, the effects of CH as nitrogen source on the fermentation for several bacteria was also investigated. With a positive effect on the biomass of Bacillus subtilis, CH was observed to be a suitable nitrogen source for the microbial fermentation. Comparing with corn steep liquor, CH exhibited a strong ability to improve the growth of Bacillus subtilis and keep its biomass in a high level. However, starch was a better carbon source than glucose and sucrose for the growth of Bacillus subtilis with the present of CH. Moreover, CH showed the significant value to be used as the nitrogen resource for the growth of Escherichia coli (ATCC 15489) and Bacillus licheniformis (CICC 20031). This suggests that CH possesses the potential to be utilized as a nitrogen resource for the growth of multiple microorganisms in the fermentation industry.

Abstract:Tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) is one of the members of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily. It can activate the apoptosis signaling pathways through engagement of the specific death receptors (DR4) or (DR5) in a broad range of cancer cell lines but not in normal cells. Thus, TRAIL is a potential anti-cancer agent. However, a small number of cancer cells may escape TRAIL induced cell death, and become resistant to it. For instance, targeted deletion of bax gene in human colorectal cancer cell line HCT116 (HCT116 bax-/-) renders the cells resistant to TRIAL induced apoptosis. In this project, we used gene-targeting technology CRISPR/Cas9 system to knock out the XIAP gene in HCT116 bax-/- cells. We showed that, as predicted, the loss of XIAP led to HCT116 bax-/- cells to overcome TRAIL resistance caused by bax deletion. This finding is significant for future study of the molecular mechanism behind cancer cell resistance to TRAIL and may help future personalized anti-cancer treatment.

Abstract:Plant autophagy plays an important role in response to abiotic stress. In this study, the relationship between autophagy related genes and reactive oxygen species (ROS) production was analyzed using physiological and genetic methods in model plant Arabidopsis. The results suggest that the leaves were photo-bleached, ROS production was induced and abundant cell death was accumulated in Arabidopsis wild-type Col-0 seedlings after 3 days salt stress. Quantitative real-time PCR analysis indicated that the expression of autophagy related genes were induced during salt stress. Autophagy participate in regulation defense mechanism in response to salt stress. Further studies suggest that the leaves were seriously photo-bleached, abundant cell death and ROS were accumulated in two Arabidopsis autophagy mutant seedlings (atg 2 and atg 5) after 3 days salt stress. Taken together, our results suggest that autophagy primarily regulate the ROS production in response to salt stress.

Abstract:The isopentenyl diphosphate isomerase (IPI) is considered to be a key enzyme involved in terpenoid biosynthesis pathway of Jatropha curcas. In order to study the expression and regulation of isopentenyl diphosphate isomerase (IPI) gene in the terpenoid biosynthesis pathway of Jatropha curcas, a 1536bp promoter fragment of IPI gene was cloned by PCR method. The bioinformatics analysis showed that the fragment contained the conserved promoter sequence, such as TATA-box, CAAT-box. Furthermore, it contained several elements related to auxin response, gibberellin response, disease-related and high temperature. To determine the optimal promoter sequence for gene expression, IPI gene promoter was deleted from its 5′ end to form promoter fragments with 283, 550, 970, 1276 and 1536bp. Such fragments were fused to a β-glucuronidase (GUS) gene. The fused genes were transformed into Nicotiana benthamiana using Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated method for transient expression. GUS quantitative fluorometric assays demonstrated that the five different length fragments of the promoter had promoter activities and the activities were increased with the deleted length of promoters.

Abstract:In this article, we carried out an investigation on the plant species and soil properties on eco-restored slope in Beichuan County of Sichuan Province, Southwest China, comparing with the natural slope which is not damaged by the earthquake. In our results, the plant species diversity and soil properties factors on different slope position were recorded, the principal component analysis and correlation analysis was adopted to study the connection of soil properties factors and the vegetation species diversity. We found that species diversity and soil properties earthquake slope were drastically reduced comparing to the non-damaged slope regardless of the slope positions. We also found that the variations of soil diversity and soil properties between different slope positions were much increased. In general, the difference of the bottom slope was larger than the middle slope, and the difference of the middle slope was larger than the top slope. Our data showed that the Margalef richness index had a close correlations with the local nitrogen, potassium and bacterial counts. Moreover, the Shannon-Wiener diversity index had much close relationships with the local nitrogen, catalase activity, bacteria and actinomycetes counts. Finally, ur principal component analysis showed that the total potassium contents, the total phosphorus contents, the urease activity, the sucrase activity and the fungi counts were the most important factors in the coaction of species diversity and soil properties.

Abstract:The breeding of widely cultivated Agaricus bisporus white cultivar are difficult because of the scarcity of the biodiversity. Radioisotope mutagenesis has been applied in the breeding but not reported in Agaricus bisporus before. This paper reports the mutagenic effects on the basidiospores of Agaricus bisporus with different irradiation dosage of 60Co-γ ray. The results showed that the lethal rate of basidiospores was 50.6 % ~ 90.63 % under six irradiation dosages, and mutant isolates were different from control, and a new type of colony appeared. The 70 single spore isolates appeared new isoenzyme bands of esterase, peroxidase and polyphenol oxidase. Based on the analysis of isoenzyme, all the 70 isolates were clustered into 18 groups at 0.87 and 25 groups at 0.95 similarity level, respectively, while the three control isolates were clustered into one class. All these results showed that 60Co-γ radiation treatment may create new breeding material or new cultivar.
